ONCE AROUND SHOP Fashion Show - Friday, September 3, 2010

Join us at 12:00 noon for lite snacks, followed by a fashion show at 12:30 pm. This fashion show features items available at the Once Around Shop, 113 South Cherry Street, Eaton. There is no charge to attend and reservations are not needed. It will be held at The Gathering Place, 501 Nation Avenue, Eaton.

"WE CARE" Caregiver's Support Group Meeting - Monday, September 13th - 2:00 pm 

The meeting and program length is usually 1 to 1 1/2 hour. The topic for the month of September is "My Personal Caregiving" by Michelle Poe. Let us know in advance and we will have someone to do on-site assistance with your loved one while you attend the meeting. FREE handicapped accessible transportation is provided. The meetings are held at the Preble County Senior Center, 800 East St. Clair Street, Eaton. To request transportation, please call the Senior Center one week before at 456-4947. Hoosier Park Race Track & Casino - Friday, September 17th - $26 per person

We are now filling a second motorcoach on the Senior Center's fun trip to Hoosier Park. Upon arrival at the casino in Anderson, Indiana, you will receive a $10 Casino Cash credit and a $10 Food Voucher. First time visitors will also receive an additional $5 in Casino Cash and a coupon book (that has a free $2 racing wagering coupon). We will arrive at Hoosier Park at 3:00 pm. Post time is 5:30 pm for the horse racing. We will depart for home at 8:30 pm.

Mini-Trip to The Greene in Beavercreek, Ohio - Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Just planned, a new mini trip, this time for outdoor shoppping at all your favorite stores at "The Greene." We will give you ample time to check out all the stores at a leisurely pace and eat a bite of lunch. Don't forget to stop for ice cream at the Cold Stone Creamery before we depart for home. PURSE AUCTION - Friday, October 1st - 12:00 noon

We will have a wide variety of groovy purses to bid on. We can't tell you what's in the purse, but you'll find surprise contents! We will start with a lunch at noon (please R.S.V.P. for lunch by calling 456-4947), followed by our "Purse Auction." This is a fun new event to be held at The Gathering Place, 501 Nation Avenue, Eaton.

FLU SHOTS - Thursday, October 7th, 14th, 21st - 8:30-10:30 am

The Preble County General Health District will give flu shots at the Preble County Senior Center (in the barn on the grounds) on three Thursdays in October. No reservation is needed. Shots are covered by Medicare Part B and Medicaid. Bring your card. Questions? Call the Health District Office at 472-0087.

Mountain Wilderness Train Excursion  - October 19-21 & October 20-22. Third trip added for October 18-20.

We have two full motorcoaches for "Mountain Wilderness Train Excursion."
