Congregate Meal

The purpose of a congregate meal is to promote health, to reduce risk of malnutrition, improve nutritional status, reduce social isolation, and to link older adults to community services.

Breakfast is served between the hours of 8:00 to 10:30 am at the Midway Restaurant, 601 West Cumberland Street (U.S. Route 40), Lewisburg, Ohio. There are ten meal choices. Orange Juice or milk is included. All other beverages cost extra. Menus are available. There is a limited number of meals served each day and reservations are appreciated.

Lunch is served between the hours of 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Preble County Senior Center, 800 East St. Clair Street, Eaton, Ohio.  In addition to an entree and one or two sides, each meal includes bread, margarine and milk. Menus are available.  There is a limited number of meals served each day and reservations are appreciated.  We prefer reservations, but if you find yourself in town at lunchtime, we invite you to stop in for lunch.

Congregate meals are being served at Ron's Pizza in Camden, 53 West Central Ave. Ron's Pizza is open for lunch, 11:00-1:00pm Mondays through Fridays.  You can choose from 1 of 3 lunch options: Spaghetti, Lasagna and Pizza.  All choices come with tossed salad, garlic bread and fruit juice. Menus are available.

We invite individuals age 60 and older (spouse can be younger) to join us week days for a nutritious Congregate meal. The suggested donation for breakfast or lunch is $2.50. Income eligibility is not required. An individual is permitted to enjoy either the Congregate Meal breakfast or lunch each day, but not both in one day.
